» Share Your Art Guidelines

Even though we encourage members to share their art in this section, ideally we'd like to keep an "amateur" flavor to it.

If you are a novice flute maker (for example) and are looking for feedback on your first creations, or if you are an aspiring painter, poet, etc.. then this is the place.

However, if you are a professional who is selling their work anywhere, then in the interest of maintaining the no selling policy of this site (both in the letter and the spirit of the law) we ask that you do not showcase your work here, even if you are not actively making a sales pitch or linking to your website.

This will ensure that no one takes undue advantage of the open nature of this forum.

I just felt a song coming on yesterday at Hathaway Nature Preserve and let it roll. I reached deep inside and let my emotions color the song. The
sounds of nature added so much to everything. And this was one day that I was "feeling" God with me very strongly. I could practically feel Jesus
walking beside me as I strolled the bluffs above the creek bed you see me standing in.

Anyway, I hope enjoy my efforts:

Note: Just thought I'd add that I've been having a blast with my new Kuz drone. It's been going everywhere with me of late smile.gif .

That was quite good. Alone on a single bore flute, that is an excellent melody. With the harmony you took it to another level.

Happy music there! I enjoyed your tune and I liked the way you raised your arms up to give credit to the big guy upstairs, too. That's why we're here, right ... to enjoy his creation and share our love of it with others. It's clear that you love that place ... and that sweet flute, too! Nice job.

The song was very nice, and the Kuz drone was excellent to listen to.

I think the water was a little competitive, and needed to be subdued, but that's a common problem in recording around water.

I always give myself a swift kick when I get too full of myself with my music. It's not "my music" or "my talent". Every time I play I remind myself that
God is playing through me. I like to think that He gave me this ability to share with others and marvel in what He can do.

Yes, Hathaway is one of my favorite places. This out-of-the-way little hideaway is a rare treasure. And the creek offers so many beautiful little spots
like this one.

This has also been one of those videos that has tons of potential to be worked into an actual song smile.gif .

Oh I quite agree. That Kuz drone is a great outdoor flute with lots of volumn, but like you said; there are spots in the song where the water tried to
dominate. That's one thing not easy to control with a camcorder smile.gif .
