This forum seems to be very forgetful of my login action. I come here and log in, and once I begin perusing the various forums, I find that when I try to respond to a post, suddenly I'm not logged in any more. This has happened to me several times. Once, I would excuse as my oversight. Three times or more, and it is revealed to be a flaw in the software.

On another note, the "Quote" button seems to only work intermittently. I have tried to respond to other users by using the "Quote" button, only to have nothing happen in response. The first time, I went back through the entire routine of logging out, killing the browser, and starting over from scratch. The second, third, and fourth times, it wasn't worth the effort, so I just gave up and didn't post.

Someone else might have a better handle on this, but know I had this problem at work with other sites and the solutions was to adjust my security settings in my browser. Sometimes, if set too high, session information can become spotty by an overly protective security setting.

I would suggest adjusting those, even if briefly, and then see if you can repeat the scenario.

I always just hit the reply button. The quote appears at the top of the box and I can add my comments below.

I have also found that when I am writing a post or doing anything that keeps me "inactive" for any length of time (i.e. not moving around the forum or moving my mouse) I get kicked off eventually.

I would follow through on the suggestion Cryss made, and I will see if there are any settings that I can tweak. If it continues to be a problem, I'll take it up with the Root Admin and let him take it up with the software manufacturer.

In the meantime, I'd ask everyone to be patient with any glitches and bugs. The site is very new, and even though we gave it a test drive before launching it, there is no substitute for real-world use as a way to reveal various "fixes".

Thanks!
