I have been reading what a good resource this is. So anyone finished with theirs and want to sell it to me in Canada.
Cheers

Sorry, I intend to hang onto mine. I probably will need it for a long time. rolleyes.gif

Is it out of print or something?

Just buy one new and support the writer--I hear it is worth it wink.gif

It's definitely not out of print and well worth hanging on to for reference. I was going to say it wasn't that expensive...but looked it up real quick to see the price had gone up to $29 + shipping. Still it's worth it, and I doubt you'll save much money buying it second-hand unless you get lucky. Amazon Marketplace lists used copies for around $22 and up. Might as well support the writer if you can. smile.gif Best of luck to you.

i thought i'd see what it was going for on alibris... about $25, but there are a few for $80+ and this one takes the cake.... $1200.00

Pretty sure that is just a misprint on their website--a "type-o", if you will. I have a hard time believing that they meant to sell that for $1200 blink.gif

Kally,

I called John Vames and ordered mine over the phone. They shipped the thing before they got my money order! Very trusting folks.

You can also ask about the flute key of the CD that comes with the book because they have it in more than 1 key.

Great Idea. I went to the John Vane site and got confused about shipping etc. so just emailed him and hope to hear back soon.
Thanks

Any other recommendations for resources for a beginner?

You can buy a copy at Amazon for between 25 and 30 dollar.

The Vames book is the best one for beginners, I have seen, in my opinion. There are some others, though, including one by El-Flute-a-Dor, aka Jeff Ball, which I haven't seen.

Hey Kally I had gotten the "Trailhead of the Native American Flute" by Jeff and found it really helpful. Definitely worth investing in for sure. wink.gif Many Blessings...Robert
