For me the definition of the word serendipity is not precise, but what happened to me today would be under my definition of the word.
Was sitting on my porch with the morning's first cup of coffee, John Two-Hawks playing in the CD Player - was re-reading one of my Ed Abbey books, and just read a line saying "and we listened to a Red Tail Hawks cries echo on the canyon walls", and as soon as I read that line, heard Hawk's cry, looks up and there were 2 Red Tail Hawks flying overhead.......
What would you call it?

Oh yes, Hawks are my totem, have enjoyed them showing up in my life for as long as I can remember. The very first song I composed on flute was a gift from the Hawks and I call it "The Messenger"....
I'd love to own a flute of Hawks, but will need to win the lottery first..... tryin all the time.

Oh yes Marsha, I really wanted to go, but any extra $ I have right now is for INAFA (and that Jeff Ball sig flute from Geoffrey........ sigh) And I believe the year before was dragonflies, which are another very close to my heart Totem..... I will get there one of these days. Still hoping to make Native Rythms again this year - that's within driving distance from my place in Lady Lake, FL.

I read this post this morning before work and while driving into the shop
I was thinking about weather I would reply to it. Just as that thought

Could be Tenzin LOL... but I don't believe I could have spoken any words at the time I was in such awe......
A bit later in the day, I was leaving the house to go to town and looked towards the pond and there were 2 deer...... was sure a Blessed day, and I was honored. Was esp nice since I am nursing a dog bite on my arm from a neighbors dog, jealous because I pet a puppy also there.
So thankful my fingers were spared.... hard to play flute with bandages.....

Ouch! Hope you recover quickly Ms. Beth, I'm also glad it wasn't your hand as well cause you're right about the playing flute with bandages for sure! I have seen some flutes though where the finger holes were so large I almost had to stick Marsmallows on the ends of my fingers to play them!!!
