After 6 years of dedicated leadership Bill Timothy has stepped down as facilitator of the Central Coast Flute Circle here in San Luis Obispo, CA. He will be missed! While not know for his internet savvy, Bill is an excellent teacher and mentor for new players. A true elder of flute music craft. And a wonderful guy!

Our circle will keep rolling along. I’m happy to say that I’ve stepped in to facilitate and get the word out about it. We are having a Playing, Planning and Potluck Party on Dec 18th 1-4 PM at the SLO Methodist church (our usual time and place). Fluting on the Central Coast is alive and well! We had a fantastic weekend flute workshop over Halloween with Vince Chafin and Judy Piazza (teaching frame drum). Our next workshop is scheduled for April 2011 at beautiful Camp Ocean Pines, overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Cambria, CA. I’ll post more details as we get closer in time.
