there are so many videos of NAF and I would love some of you to recommend and show links for ones that us beginners can follow along on. I got Mary Youngblood Under the Raven?? on youtube and listened and thought "I can play that", just not like her, but I could play it because the tune was simple.

Please recommend 2 more you think I could play with.
Thanks

Kally, how new are you to the NAF? It's great to be able to play a song some artist plays, but don't disregard your own music and develope the ability to play music by ear. The NAF is at its best when you create your own music.

I have been playing for 5 months and play lots of my own stuff; but sometimes I just want to work on a different tune. I loved the Raven Moon so much and wouldn't mind some more like this.

Enjoying my flute a lot, but would love to play with others more. But I live in a small coastal town in BC in Canada so we have very few players here, but we DO have a flutemaker, Ron Keller.

Kally,

This isn't really songs to play with but you can play along with these scales. Karnalis is a member of this forum and has some very good Youtube videos:

Kally,

Buy Mary's CDs and Songbooks here: www.oregonflutestore.com

Mark Holland's Songbook is also great (and maybe the best choice
for a beginning flutie), but the songs are from
various CDs, so you would have to buy about 5 CDs to be able
to hear all the songs that are in the songbook...

YouTube is full of music videos, so you can watch a bunch of them there, if you look for NAF players.
