Hi Folks,

As stated in the summary, this forum is for issues that impact the flute community or its members and their families. It was created as a result of the Flute Portal being approached about assisting with some fund raising autions. These auctions were planned to benefit the family of a NAF maker under some special circumstances.

There seemed to be a need for something like this and a public forum seemed like the logical place to reach the most members of the NAF community.

We don't want to put any heavy-handed restrictions on the content of this forum, but we would like to try to confine it to issues that are directly connected to the flute community and its members. There are many worthy causes in the world, and even though we might all want to help victims of a typhoon in Asia, for example, we can't necessarily play host to such a cause here. There are simply too many people in need, and in many cases these other causes have their own venues where folks are bringing attention to them.

So we ask that this venue be for the flute community and its members, at least in a general sense. We are all an extended family with a common interest, and since the Flute Portal is all about this community, this is the place for it.

Please confine all such issues to this forum alone and do not post about them in other sections of the forum.
